Source Port Configuration

Description

It is possible to use an alternative TCP port to connect to Wayk Now.

Follow these simple instructions to change the port of the target computer:

Windows

With the Windows File Explorer, navigate to %AppData%/Wayk/ and open the WaykNow.cfg file with any text editor, such as Notepad.

Change the following line to the desired server port:

"SourcePort": 4489,

macOS

With the Finder, navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Wayk/ and open the WaykNow.cfg file with any text editor, such as TextEdit.

Change the following line to the desired server port:

"SourcePort": 4489,

Linux

With the file manager, navigate to ~/.config/Wayk/ and open the WaykNow.cfg file with any text editor, such as gedit.

Change the following line to the desired server port:

"SourcePort": 4489,

This workaround is mandatory if you use Wayk Now version 1.3 or earlier and your remote computer is on another network.

In version 2.0 or later, it is optional, because Wayk Den manages connections on any network: local or over the Internet. It is still possible to configure port forwarding if you do not wish to use Wayk Den.
